About Heather
My name is Heather Ousley and I'm 20 years old and originally from Peru, Indiana. (Yes, it is the Circus City.) Currently living in Indianapolis, I'm working for IUPUI Housing and Residence Life while working on my Media Arts & Science degree from the School of Informatics. I'm also pursuing a certificate in Applied Computer Science.
I started coding and designing when I was about 13 years old. I was self-taught by designing blog layouts on Livejournal. But now, here I am learning new and exciting techniques and programs every day. I'm proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe IIlustrator, and have some experience in other programs in the Adobe Suite as well as Sony SoundForge, other miscellaneous programs. I have roughly two years left, but I would love an internship, freelance opportunity, or a job!
Random Facts:
- Danced for 14 years at Ballet Arts of Peru. Types of dance: ballet, tap, jazz, very short period of time where clogging was involved.
- I enjoy a good laugh and am known for my sarcastic humor.
- Colorguard is a huge part of my life. I started in middle school, spun through high school (one gold medal, one silver medal), and after graduation continued spinning with Usurpation Independent Colorguard (Independent Open 2010 Silver Medalist) for two more years.
- I'm slightly addicted to music. With 25GB and counting, I've got anything from The Beatles to Lady GaGa to 3OH!3 to Bon Jovi.
